Want a quick but rustic way to prepare your winter squash? Here are a couple ideas-
Cut a winter squash in half and place on a baking sheet.
Brush with real maple syrup and bake at 350 until tender, about one hour. Cut into smaller pieces and eat.
Brush with olive oil and bake at 350F for one hour, or until tender. Remove and scoop flesh out of squash. Add a handful of feta cheese, dried cranberries, walnuts, salt and pepper to taste, mash together and serve for a beautiful side dish.
