Each year, 10-15 families participate in the Global Gardens farmer entrepreneurship training program. We provide trainings, hands-on technical assistance in the field, and small business support. Trainees begin with a small plot of irrigated farmland at one of incubator farm sites. Farmers often outgrow these small plots, and we help them negotiate larger land leases with other landowners.  

Small business support includes assisting new growers with selling at local farmers markets and through our CSA and wholesale programs. With over a dozen farmers market booths, Global Gardens growers have a significant presence at our local markets and contribute greatly to the availability of fresh, local produce in Boise.
