As a farmer training program, having land to cultivate on is crucial. Global Gardens oversees six farms in the city of Boise and several farmers have additional plots at other farms in the Treasure Valley.
All of our farming and gardening is done on donated land in and around Boise and uses organic practices.

Liberty Street Community Garden
Liberty Street offers more than 100 community garden plots primarily to gardeners from immigrant and refugee backgrounds. Some market farmers also grow produce for their CSAs here. Wright Church Farm
Situated near the corner of Franklin and Orchard behind the Wright Congregational United Church of Christ, this farm plot only recently began being used by Global Gardens. Currently, just one farmer - Safiya - farms at this location. |
Five Mile Farm
Located behind the Five Mile Church of the Nazarene, this farm has plots for many market farmers. Several beginning farmers start with small plots at this farm as well. Healthwise Farm Healthwise is a small Global Gardens farm located behind Healthwise Inc on Bogus Basin Road close to the Harrison Hollow Trailhead and Parking hiking area. The land is farmed by Noor and Mariamu and is also the site for one of their CSA pick-ups. |
Pond Street Farm
Pond Street is home to several CSA and wholesale plots as well as the site of the Global Gardens Food Hub. It will also be the location for Koborewa Cornmeal. Blue Cross of Idaho Farm Located off of Eagle Road, the Blue Cross of Idaho Farm sits adjacent to the health insurance agency in Meridian. Currently, just Noor and Mariamu farm at this location. |
We are thankful for the City of Boise and the Five Mile Church of the Nazarene who continue to support Global Gardens farmers by providing access to land in Boise.
