Global Gardens is about providing opportunity. Opportunity for farmers who came through the refugee program to use their farming skills & talents in Idaho’s prosperous agricultural sector.
Farmers sell seasonal vegetables through our Community Supported Agriculture program, wholesale to restaurants & grocery stores, & at local farmers markets.
With the new challenges we all face this farm season, Rabiou Manzo, Global Gardens Project Manager, sees a robust local food network as part of the solution. “Local farmers are essential workers, & we are working hard at Global Gardens to ensure that our food supply is safe, healthy, tasty, & plentiful this season. We are adjusting to our new reality, translating social distancing farming tips into multiple languages, training ourselves & our farmers on additional food safety measures, & keeping our customers & our farmers safe.”

We envision longer tables, fewer walls, and rich community collaborations that enable an inclusive, diverse, and profitable local food system. Check out our video below to gain a little insight into what Global Gardens is accomplishing, right here in Idaho.
